OUR YEAR PROGRAM

At Heather Schmulian’s Drama-works, our yearly program offers a comprehensive and immersive theater experience for young performers. Classes run every Wednesday from September through June, 4:15–6:15 PM in West Boca, following the Palm Beach School District calendar for holidays and days off. Throughout the year, students will also participate in additional tech and dress rehearsals, as well as scheduled audition and choreography days between December and June. The first half of the program is dedicated to building a strong foundation in acting- focusing on confidence, public speaking, improvisation, character development, subtext analysis, mime, movement, and more. From September to December, students explore a wide range of plays, scripts, characters, and theatrical styles; then, in January, a show is selected based on the strengths and personalities of the enrolled students. Unlike many other programs, Dramaworks is committed to ensuring that every performer shines. Each student is guaranteed a standout moment, whether through singing, acting, dancing, or all three. Students are never left sitting on the sidelines and learn every dance and song. Our mission is to immerse children in the magic of theater, nurturing their passion for the craft and inspiring them on their path to stardom.
